action
The trained travel agent Nelly Heldmann is betrayed by her fiancé Jens immediately before her wedding and then escapes with the wedding car from Bielefeld to Berlin , where she - still in her wedding dress - gets a job as a service manager of the business lounge at the Star Line airline . She quickly realizes that the company has both new friends and enemies waiting for her. A little later she happened to meet the furniture designer and her neighbor Nils Heyden, who had just taken in his pubescent twin sisters Alex and Laja - to the displeasure of his fiancée Melanie, from whom Nils separated before the altar. After a while, Nils realizes that he loves Nelly. But Nelly does not notice anything and has a relationship with the chief pilot Mark Eppinger, the brother of the company boss Konstantin Eppinger of Star Line. An intimate friendship develops between Nelly and Nils. However, in order to avoid the love for Nelly, Nils begins an affair with the stewardess Maybritt. When Mark does not want to accompany her to Jens and Anne's wedding, Nelly takes Nils with her and introduces him as her fiancé. On the bachelorette party, Nelly suddenly notices that Nils is no longer her best friend, but the man she loves, although she does not want to admit it. After an emotional outburst from Nils, she now knows for sure that she loves Nils. But then suddenly Mark shows up and Nelly doesn't know what to do. At the wedding, however, Nelly realizes that she wants Nils and not Mark. Nils breaks up with Maybritt because he wants to be fair to her. When Mark proposes to Nelly and Nils thinks Nelly would have accepted, he leaves. Fortunately, the car doesn't start and Nelly catches up with him and admits that she loved him from the beginning but didn't want to admit it. But now they both know that they belong together.
background
production
The telenovela was produced from May 5, 2006 in the Park Studios in Potsdam - Babelsberg by Producers at Work , a newly founded subsidiary of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG . The place of action is Berlin .
After several attempts to realign the series due to low ratings, Sat.1 surprisingly announced on December 11, 2006 that butterflies in the stomach would be removed from the station's early evening program as part of a program change and shortened from the originally planned 280 episodes to 123 . The last episode on the original slot at 6:45 p.m. was consequently broadcast on December 29th. The remaining episodes were broadcast from now until February 10, 2007 on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m.
The telenovela ends with a happy ending.
Merchandise
Background information and specials on the series were mainly broadcast by the in-house tabloid magazine Blitz . Furthermore, a novel was published in November 2006 with the title Berlin, I'm coming! , which deals with the beginnings of the telenovela. The second novel entitled Crash Landing was due to appear in January . In the meantime, two DVD boxes with three DVDs each with the first forty episodes were announced for January 2007 , but these were canceled due to the sudden stop in filming.
