geography

course

The rocker arises on the district of Sindelfingen . It has two large headwaters here, the right of which rises on the northern edge of the industrial area of the Maichingen suburb and is called Schwippe , while the more important one in terms of length, catchment area and source height, last called Goldbach in its course , near the Stuttgart motorway junction in the large mountain forest is being built, which extends between Sindelfingen and the Stuttgart district of Vaihingen , beyond the northeastern city limits .

At the transition from the Sindelfingen residential development to the west lies the industrial area, the two branches converge, then the holding Schwippe to the feed direction of Goldbach's and first flows to the southwest. After the end of the Böblingen / Sindelfingen airfield on his left, it turns from the last accompanying Autobahn 81 to the west, enters the Böblingen district and then flows through its Dagersheim district . Then it re-enters Sindelfingen city area further west and touches the Darmsheim district in the north. Behind this place it runs for the first time (name upper course) or for the first time again since it emerged from the forest (main line) in a valley that bends to the northwest soon after entering the municipality of Grafenau . Here you pass the large settlement of Kapellenberg on the right slope of the valley and then the village of Döffingen .

For a few meters, Weil becomes the city's right bank, then after a run of 16.5 km or 18.1 km from the right and southeast at the oil mill in the hamlet of Schafhausen as the most important tributary of its upper course, it flows into the north here pulling worm .
