Science Digest

Science Digest [ˌsaɪəns ˈdaɪdʒɛst] (English for extract of the sciences ) was a monthly American magazine published by Hearst Corporation between 1937 and 1986. The magazine was aimed at people with a high school degree. It contained brief reports on scientific subjects, often a summary of other publications in the form of the Reader's Digest . One of the best-known authors who published in Science Digest is environmental activist Rachel Carson .

In November 1980 the style of the magazine was changed. The target group were now people who had at least one college degree. The magazine came out every two months and had a circulation of 500,000 copies. However, there were already two other magazines for this target group. The magazine was discontinued in 1986.
