Scott James Wootton (born September 12, 1991 in Birkenhead ) is an English football player .

Career

Manchester United (2010-2013)

Scott Wootton, who came from Manchester United's youth academy , moved on loan to English third division club Tranmere Rovers on September 30, 2010 and made his debut in Football League One 2010/11 on October 2, 2010 . At the beginning of the 2011/12 season he signed a loan deal with second division Peterborough United Wootton played eleven second division games before the contract, which was valid until the end of the season, was terminated on January 23, 2012. Just a week later, he moved to Nottingham Forest until the end of the season . After the loan contract ended, he returned to Manchester in the summer of 2012.

Leeds United (since 2013)

On August 20, 2013 Wootton moved to Leeds United , where he signed a three-year contract until June 30, 2016.
