Screen Actors Guild

The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) was a union for actors in the United States . The Screen Actors Guild was founded in Los Angeles in 1933 . It represented around 120,000 artists until it was merged with the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) . The Screen Actors Guild was the sponsor of the annual Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award (since 1962) and Screen Actors Guild Award (since 1995) film awards . On March 30, 2012, it was merged with AFTRA to form SAG-AFTRA .
