Seamus Byrne
Seamus Byrne (* before 1966) is an Irish film producer .
Career
Seamus' first activity in the film business was as the third assistant director on the war film The Blue Max by John Guillermin from 1966. As an assistant director, he also worked on the works Outbreak of the 28 , Mirror Images , The Dead and Farewell and Hope . As a production manager, Byrne also worked between 1973 and 1994 in the films Treason in Belfast and In a Distant Land . He has been a producer in the film business since 1995, where he was responsible as a line producer for Frankie Starlight and as a co-producer on the television film Runway One . In 2001 he became known to a wider audience when he received an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Short Film at the 2002 Academy Awards for his starring in the short film Fifty Percent Gray . In 2009 the short film Eamon was released , for which he was responsible as a producer and which was nominated for "Best Picture" at the Irish Film and Television Awards.
