Sebastián Omar "Seba" Monesterolo (born March 30, 1983 in San Francisco ) is an Argentine football player .

The striker played for CA Boca Juniors and CA Banfield in their youth . In the summer of 2003 he finally moved to Sportivo Belgrano in his hometown, where he played his first senior games. After playing for half a year at Juventud Unida in Gualeguaychú in 2005, he moved to Malaysia in the summer , where he signed a contract with the now- defunct Selangor MPPJ from Petaling Jaya .

In January 2006 Monesterolo moved to Europe and signed a contract with the Maltese FC Valletta . Here he quickly became a top performer and scored 27 goals in 25 games by January 2007 before moving to Al-Kuwait SC , with whom he played in the AFC Champions League .

In Kuwait , however, he did not feel at home, so he returned to Valletta FC for the 2007/08 season. With 20 goals in 23 games, Monesterolo was the top scorer and contributed significantly to winning the championship, his first title with City .

On January 9, 2008, Valletta played a friendly ("BetFair Cup") against Juventus Turin . Monesterolo scored the goal to make it 1-1 for Valletta in this game, which led to reaching the penalty shoot-out. Valletta FC finally won the game 5: 4 on penalties.

In July 2008 Monesterolo moved to AEK Larnaka in Cyprus , where he was able to score some goals in the pre-season. However, when it turned out that Monesterolo was unsuccessful in seeking Italian citizenship, the club and the players split, whereupon the striker signed with Hapoel Bnei Lod in Israel's second division. For the second half of the 2008/09 season Monesterolo returned to Valletta FC. Since the beginning of the 2009/10 season he played at the Indian East Bengal Club , where he was released in September 2009. Since March 2010 Monesterolo has been playing in Argentina again, at Sportivo y Biblioteca Atenas .
