Sector stations

Evidence Sector Stations were the headquarters of the sectoral fighter units of the Royal Air Force during the Battle of Britain .

From the operation rooms set up there , the fighter squadrons were led to the attacking air force bombers.

The sector stations of the 11th Fighter Group, which carried the brunt of the defense of London and the southern cities of England, were from north to south:

Debden , North Weald , Northolt , Hornchurch , Biggin Hill , Kenley , Tangmere .

The headquarters of the 11th Fighter Group, however, was in Uxbridge , the high command of the Fighter Command in Bentley Priory near Stanmore .
