Selma Vilhunen

Selma Vilhunen (* 1976) is a Finnish director and screenwriter . She became the director of the short film Pitääkö mun kaikki hoitaa? known.

Life

Selma Vilhunen studied directing at the University of Turku . After graduating, she made several short films, including some documentary shorts. She also shot the television film Pietà . Her documentary Ponitytöt won the main prize at the Tampere International Short Film Festival 2008. As a screenwriter, she was responsible for Koti-ikävä by director Petri Kotwica and the television film Espoon viimeinen neitsyt by Hanna Maylett .

At the Academy Awards 2014 , her short film Pitääkö mun kaikki hoitaa? Nominated for an Oscar in the Best Short Film category.
