The Semei Bridge or Semipalatinsk Bridge is the longest suspension bridge in Central Asia . It crosses the Irtysh River in the Kazakh city of Semei .
The bridge with a total length of 1086 meters and a mean span of 750 meters was built between 1998 and 2001.
The pylons of the construction are 90.5 meters high and, like the bridge panel, are made of steel. The Japanese companies IHI and Katahira & Engineers were involved in the construction.
