The transmitter Waldshut is a filling station of the Südwestrundfunk (formerly the Südwestfunk ) for radio. It is located on the Aarberg right next to the mountain cemetery in the immediate vicinity of Bundesstraße 34 , about three kilometers east of downtown Waldshut . A free-standing tubular steel mast is used as the antenna carrier.

From here, the neighboring Swiss communities Koblenz AG , Leuggern and Full-Reuenthal are supplied with the radio programs Radio SRF 1 and Radio Argovia as well as with the digital multiplex D02 from Swiss Media Cast.

Until the introduction of DVB-T , the television programs Das Erste , ZDF and SWR Fernsehen were broadcast terrestrially by this station .
