Seog-Jeong Lee

Seog-Jeong Lee (* 1955 in Seoul ) is a freelance architect, urban planner and professor at the Seoul National University in Seoul. She is also one of four partners of the ISA Internationales Stadtbauatelier planning office .

Life

Seog-Jeong Lee studied architecture at Hanyang University in Korea from 1975. In 1981 she completed her studies there with a Master of Architectural Engineering. From 1982 to 1988 she did a postgraduate course in urban design at the Institute for Urban Development at the University of Stuttgart . She successfully completed her studies in 1995 with a doctorate on the subject of "The cityscape as a task - ways to holistic cityscape planning" at the Institute for Urban Development. During her doctoral studies, she already worked as a lecturer at the University of Stuttgart. Since 1984 she has been a member of the planning office Stadtbauatelier and worked there as a project manager. After teaching at the University of Stuttgart, Seong-Jeong Lee moved to Hanyang University in 2002, where she took up a professorship at the Faculty of Urban Planning. Since 2012 she has been Professor of Urban Design and Urban Design at Seoul National University. Since 2007 she has been a partner in the planning office ISA Internationales Stadtbauatelier . In addition to her work at ISA, she is a member of various architecture and urban planning committees in the city of Seoul and the Korean government. Seong-Jeong Lee u. a. Korean-German research sponsored by the government, such as B. the project "Urban Voids" and as a key speaker represents intercultural aspects of urban planning and urban design in Asia and Europe at science congresses in Korea and Germany. Her main focus is on urban planning advice, the drafting of town planning, development planning and the design of public spaces and architecture.
