Sergei Michailowitsch Grigorjanz ( Russian Сергей Михайлович Григорьянц , at the World Chess Federation FIDE Sergey Grigoriants; born November 2, 1983 in Tashkent ) is a Russian chess player .

Life

In 1997 he won the U14 World Championship in Cannes and the U16 European Championship in Litochoro in 1999 . In July 2004 he was tied for first at the 20th Open in Cappelle-la-Grande , which was won by Yevgeny Najer after a fine evaluation . In July 2004 he won the Skanska Open in Pardubice . At the Chess Festival in Abu Dhabi in August 2005 he won the blitz tournament . He is the captain of the Egyptian national team at the 2018 Chess Olympiad in Batumi .

The Muscovite of Armenian origin became the international champion in 1999 and has held the title of grandmaster since 2003 . He achieved the standards for the GM title at an international chess tournament in Moscow in October 2002, at the Chigorin Memorial in November 2002 in Saint Petersburg and at the chess tournament for the 850th anniversary of the Serbian city of Pančevo in June 2003.

He played for the Moscow club ShSM , in the German Federal Chess League in the 2008/09 season for SV Mülheim-Nord and in the Hungarian NB I. Szabó László csoport from the 2013/14 season to the 2015/16 season for Budapesti Titánok Sportegyesület and in the 2016/17 season for Dunaharaszti Munkás Testedző Kör .
