Balcı began his professional career at Gençlerbirliği Ankara in the summer of 2000. In his first season, Balcı won the Turkish Cup at the end of the season . He played an important role during his three years at Gençlerbirliği. For the 2004/05 season he went to Fenerbahce , was there at first team regular for the first time champion . In the 2005/06 season Balcı remained a regular player, this changed in the following season. In 2007 he became champion with Fenerbahçe Istanbul for the second time. He left Fenerbahçe and played for Trabzonspor from the 2007/08 season .

After joining Trabzonspor, Balcı quickly became a regular at the right-back position. He showed especially during the coaching period Şenol Güneş 'significant increases in performance, which is why he was nominated again for the Turkish national team . He was with his club in the 2009/10 season Turkish Cup winner and once the Turkish Supercup winner. With Trabzonspor he led the league for almost the entire 2010/11 season and only missed the league lead and ultimately the championship at Fenerbahçe Istanbul in the last few game days .

After Trabzonspor got into a significant financially difficult situation in the summer of 2013, Balcı did not extend his expired contract. For the coming season he signed with league rivals Antalyaspor . After Antalyaspor missed relegation in summer 2014, Balcı dissolved his contract by mutual agreement and left this club.

For the 2014/15 season he was hired by the new first division club Mersin İdman Yurdu . With the end of his contract and the lack of relegation in the summer of 2016, Balcı left this club and was committed to the new season by third division MKE Ankaragücü . With this club he finished the 2016/17 season as a third division champion and rose with him to the TFF 1st Lig .
