Shepparton is located in the Goulburn Valley about 180 km north of Melbourne in the state of Victoria in Australia and is known for its agricultural products. With about 31,000 inhabitants, the place is one of the largest provincial centers in the state of Victoria.

The first settlers from 1838 were Joseph Hawdon and Charles Bonney, who always camped here on the Goulburn River when they drove their cattle from Albury to Adelaide .
