Sibylle Ehrismann

Sibylle Ehrismann (* 1962 in Wetzikon ) is a Swiss church musician ( organist ), curator and music journalist with a focus on new music .

Ehrismann comes from a family of musicians in Wetzikon. After graduating from high school (Type B) in 1981 and a year abroad in Australia, she studied German and musicology at the University of Zurich (lic. Phil. I). From 1987 to 1992 she was editor-in-chief of the Swiss choir newspaper . From 1991 to 1998 she was responsible for public relations for the Swiss Music Council . In 1997 she founded the creative office Artes. Together with Verena Naegele , she is responsible for documentary music exhibitions there. From 1994 to 2006 she was a member of the Music Commission of the Presidential Department of Zurich and from 1996 to 2001 President of the Music Commission of the Aargau Symphony Orchestra ; previously she worked for the orchestra's program booklet. In 2008 she obtained a degree C as an organist. Since 2011 she has been working as an organist in the Reformed Parish of Buchs - Rohr .

Since 2016 she has regularly published articles on musical topics in the Swiss daily Der Landbote .
