Siegfried Kühl

Siegfried Kühl (born October 2, 1929 in Berlin - Pankow ; † July 27, 2015 ) was a German artist.

Life

Kühl studied from 1945 to 1952 at the Berlin University of Fine Arts (HFBK) and passed his state examination there. He then worked from 1952 to 1992 as a teacher for art education at the school farm Insel Scharfenberg in Berlin. In Berlin he was often to be found near the Havel in Heiligensee , where he dedicated himself to painting and drawing nature. In addition to Berlin, he also worked on the island of Corsica .

He was a co-founder of the Scheersberg International Artistic Workshop .

Awards

Kühl was the recipient of the Humboldt Medal for Art and Science. He has also received several art awards.
