Simon Käsbauer (born December 18, 1994 in Regensburg ) is a German pop / folk music singer and physiotherapist .

Life

Simon Käsbauer was born in Regensburg, where he grew up as the youngest of three children.

At the age of 10, the singer joined the Regensburger Domspatzen music school , where he soon found himself in the concert choir of the renowned boys' choir. In addition to extensive vocal training, the Domspatz learned several instruments, including piano, guitar and drums.

In the course of his vocal training, Käsbauer performed as a soprano soloist throughout Europe on various concert tours with the Regensburger Domspatzen. After his voice broke, he was re-accepted as bass in the concert choir of the Regensburger Domspatzen under the direction of cathedral music director Roland Büchner .

After completing his high school career, the then 19-year-old spent a year abroad in order to directly join an ensemble of former cathedral sparrows - the Renner Ensemble - where he met Stephan Schlögl for the first time after his school days , who later made his way should level the voices of the mountains.

In addition, Käsbauer began training as a physiotherapist in Regensburg in 2015, which he successfully completed in 2018.

In May 2016, the voices of the mountains got Simon Käsbauer to replace Stefan Hofmeister, who had left for private reasons. Since then, the bass has been on the road with the quintet in Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands.

On their tours and on German television they performed together with artists such as Stefan Mross , Stefanie Hertel , Patrick Lindner , Oswald Sattler , the Ladins and many more. on.

Since 2016, Simon Käsbauer has released six albums with the voices of the mountains, which have always been in the German album charts.

The five former cathedral sparrows have been featured on German music television since 2017 with the daily television program "Singen macht Glücklich" (Singing Makes You Happy ), as well as in various programs on public television (e.g. " Immer wieder Sundays " - ARD).
