Sisleide do Amor Lima , called Sissi , (born June 2, 1967 in Esplanada (Bahía) ) is a former Brazilian national soccer player and coach . She played in attacking midfield.
career
society
At the beginning of her career, Sissi competed for various well-known Brazilian clubs. At the age of 33, she went to the newly founded American football league in 2001. However, this was characterized by instability, so that she had to change clubs several times. After her active career, she became active as a trainer in the USA.
National team
Sissi's first international match was on January 8, 1995 against Ecuador at the South American Women's Football Championship . After appearances in other friendly matches, e.g. B. the Torneio Cidade de Uberlândia , and she took part in the selection of the 1995 Women's World Cup. But here they were eliminated in the preliminary round. At the next major tournament, the 1996 Summer Olympics , the bronze medal was just missed. In 1998 the South American title could then be defended. At the FIFA World Cup of Women in 1999 , third place was achieved. At the end of the competition, she was named top scorer with seven goals . She also took part in the CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup 2000 , where the team lost to the USA in the final. At their last major tournament, the 2000 Summer Olympics , they were eliminated in the quarter-finals.
