Sisters Keepers were initially a subgroup of the Brothers Keepers Association . In their songs they also appealed against racism in Germany. Many well-known female and mainly Afro-German reggae , soul and hip-hop artists were in this formation, including Nadja Benaissa , Ayọ , Kaye, Nicole Hadfield ( Groove Guerrilla ), Tamika, Tesiree, Lisa, Mamadee , Pat and Meli ( Skills en Masse , Ischen Impossible) and Onejiru (Pielina Schindler).

In 2005 the music group and the club were renamed "Sisters". The club and band have been independent since then, and the group has a permanent line-up of seven singers. They competed for North Rhine-Westphalia in the Bundesvision Song Contest 2008 , where they achieved 14th place with their title Unite . In September 2008 they completed a tour of Germany.
