The Solomon Islands Football Federation is the governing body of football in the Solomon Islands . It was founded in 1978 and became a member of FIFA and the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) in 1988 . It organizes the National Football League and the Solomonic National Football Team .

The Solomonic national soccer team made history when they faced Australia in the 2006 World Cup qualifying final . Previously, many assumed that New Zealand would face Australia in the final, but the Solomon Islands were one point ahead of New Zealand after the second qualifying round.

The association has around € 66,000 from the OFC and around € 165,000 from FIFA annually .

The top division for men is the Telekom S-League .
