Sonatrach ( Arabic سوناطراك Sūnātrāk ) is a major Algerian state-owned company with a monopoly in the mineral oil sector . His focus is on prospecting and research, transport, processing and distribution of oil and gas. Sonatrach is by far the largest company in Africa.
Sonatrach exports gas to Italy, Spain, Portugal, Tunisia and Slovenia via pipelines .
Liquefied gas is also supplied to France , Spain , the USA , Turkey , Belgium , Italy , Greece and South Korea .
The company has numerous international joint ventures and is also the main owner of the MC Algiers football club .
