Spellbound (Original title: Ossakan Yeonae ) is a South Korean film from 2011 that combines elements of a romantic comedy and a horror film . The film is about a magician who falls in love with a woman who is haunted by ghosts. It is the directorial debut of the screenwriter Hwang In-ho . Son Ye-jin and Lee Min-ki can be seen in the main roles . The film had over 3 million moviegoers in South Korea.

At a street performance, the magician Jo-gu sees a miserable-looking young woman. She inspires him to a new horror magic show, which turns out to be a great success. To do this, he works with the young woman named Yeo-ri. She does an excellent job, but otherwise stays away from the rest of the staff. One day, Jo-gu insists that she show up for dinner with the entire team. However, Yeo-ri gets drunk that the evening ends in disaster and Yeo-ri tears Jo-gu's shirt.

The next morning Jo-gu would like to clarify the evening with Yeo-ri by phone. But when the line suddenly breaks, he goes to her home. In doing so, Jo-gu is haunted by the spirit of a child. Yeo-ri tells him that ghosts haunt her. Therefore, she has little contact with other people, not even with her family. Her best friend Joo-hee's ghost wants revenge on Yeo-ri and doesn't allow her to have a happy relationship. Your mind scares off all of your partners. Nevertheless, Jo-gu gets involved in a relationship. Together they try to appease the evil spirit.
