from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Under the name Sporthilfe or Für den Sport , the Deutsche Bundespost Berlin issued two or three supplementary stamps annually from 1978 to 1990 . The Deutsche Sporthilfe Foundation received the proceeds from the award . All stamps were valid for postage until December 31, 1991 .

Additional surcharge stamps from other series are included in the items surcharge stamp (Berlin) , welfare stamps of the Deutsche Bundespost Berlin . For the welfare stamps in the Christmas series, there is a separate article with Christmas stamps from the Deutsche Bundespost Berlin . Likewise for the youth stamps of the Deutsche Bundespost Berlin . For the stamps for Postage Stamp Day , see Postage Stamp Day (Berlin) .

While general sports motives predominated at the beginning, later reference was often made to specific events of the year. Some of the motifs were presented in stylized or alienated form.
