history

Staind started their career in 1995 with a few concerts. In November 1996 they released the album Tormented on their own , of which they were able to sell 4,000 copies. In October 1997 they played a concert with Limp Bizkit and Fred Durst signed the band to his Flip Records label . In 1999 they released their first real album, Dysfunction , with which they achieved their breakthrough. They sold over a million Dysfunction albums .

Her third album, Break the Cycle , followed in 2001 , which is often referred to as her best. The album also includes a live version of Outside , which was sung with Fred Durst . Staind can sell over two million albums within two weeks. In 2003 the album 14 Shades of Gray followed , the reviews of this album are divided, some of my Staind would have found their sound, while others complain about the lack of innovations. However, this was definitely in the 2005 album Chapter V (first single Right Here , second single Falling , third single Everything Changes ).

Staind reached number 1 in the US charts with three consecutive albums, Break the Cycle , 14 Shades of Gray and Chapter V. They also had the pleasure of playing an "MTV Unplugged" which was then released on DVD.

The sixth studio album called The Illusion of Progress was released in the USA on August 19, 2008 , and was released in Germany on September 5, 2008. The album was released by Warner Music Group . In the USA it was released by Atlantic Records , in all other countries it was released by Roadrunner Records . Both labels belong to the Warner Music Group. At the end of 2010 they returned to the studio to produce their seventh album Staind , which was finally released on September 9, 2011. In addition to the simple album, a special edition was released that contained two bonus titles and a DVD.

On May 20, 2011, Staind announced on their website that Jon Wysocki was no longer their drummer. For a while, drummer Will Hunt stepped in, but was eventually replaced by Sal Giancarelli.
