Stan Chervin

Stan Chervin (* before 1980 in Covina , California ) is an American screenwriter .

Life

Chervin graduated from the University of California, Berkeley . From the late 1980s, he worked as a story editor and later as director of creative affairs for TriStar Pictures .

Before joining the film business, Chervin worked as a theater manager in New York City and also directed plays. At first he did not write his own plays. Finally he turned to scriptwriting. Chervin wrote and sold several scripts, but it wasn't until his involvement in the screenplay of the film The Art of Winning - Moneyball (2011) - a first version from 2004 by Chervin - meant his first credit .

For his work on the screenplay for The Art of Winning - Moneyball , he was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Adapted Screenplay in 2012 together with Steven Zaillian and Aaron Sorkin .
