Stane Dolanc (born November 16, 1925 in Hrastnik , Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes ; † December 12, 1999 ) was a Yugoslav politician.

Life

Stane Dolanc joined the Yugoslav People's Liberation Army in 1944 and after the end of the Second World War studied law at the University of Ljubljana , then political science at several universities abroad. From 1960 to 1969 he was the director of the University of Political Sciences in Ljubljana, where he also worked as a professor.

From 1969 he was a member of the Presidium of the Union of Communists of Yugoslavia . From 1982 to 1984 he was Minister of the Interior of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia , after which he was the representative of the Socialist Republic of Slovenia in the Yugoslav State Presidium. In 1989 he retired into private life. He was seen as an opponent of both liberal and nationalist aspirations.
