Stefano Sertorelli

Stefano Sertorelli (born December 24, 1911 in Bormio ; † December 17, 1995 in Sondalo ) was an Italian skier and was a member of the mountain school of the Italian armed forces founded in 1934 , the Scuola Militare di Alpinismo , from which today's Centro Addestramento Alpino emerged .

Stefano comes from a family of skiers. He is the brother of the cross-country skier Erminio Sertorelli and the downhill skier Giacinto Sertorelli , who had a fatal accident in a ski race in 1938.

At the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , he himself was a member of the Italian winning team at the military patrol demonstration competition, along with Enrico Silvestri , Luigi Perenni and Sisto Scilligo .

Later he turned to alpine skiing, won several national titles and also took part in international competitions. At the end of 1950 he and the mountain guide and writer Lodovico Cusini founded the first local ski school in Livigno under the name Scuola Sci Livitur .
