Stephen Pearson (born October 2, 1982 in Lanark ) is a Scottish football player who was last under contract with FC Motherwell .

Career

Pearson played for Motherwell FC until 2004 . At Motherwell, the Scot made 80 league games and scored twelve goals. From 2004 to 2006 he played for Celtic Glasgow (56 games, 6 goals), where he was Scottish football champion and league cup winner in 2006 and Scottish cup winner in 2005 . In January 2007 he moved to Derby County and rose with the club straight away in the Premier League . On March 28, 2008, he joined Stoke City on a brief loan period until the end of the 2007-08 season .

On November 4, 2011, he moved to Bristol City on loan . After his contract termination in Derby, he signed a contract in Bristol on January 6, 2012.
