Steve Bug (bourgeois Stefan Brügesch ) is a DJ and music producer in the field of minimal house .

In 1991 Brügesch started his DJ career with a weekly engagement in the Bremen club MAXX . In 1992 he was also booked by the Hamburger Unit , where he met DJ Henry . The two became friends and began producing music together in DJ Henry's studio. A little later he received an offer from the Oldenburg OMP studio and gave up his job as a hairdresser.

In 1994 Brügesch moved to Hamburg and organized a series of parties with DJ Henry in the Front Club . In parallel, he released some works on the record label Superstition Records . In the following year a record appeared for the first time under the pseudonym Steve Bug. Towards the end of the year he founded his own label Raw Elements . In 1996 the mix CD series Da Minimal Funk was released , with which Steve Bug introduced the Minimal House style. In 1998 Steve Bug stopped all activities of his old label and founded the labels Poker Flat and Lingerie . In 2000 Steve Bug moved to Berlin. A little later his second album The Other Day was released . He also organized a number of parties in the Berlin club Sternradio . In 2004 the mix CD Bugnology was released . In 2004 he also founded the Audiomatique Recordings label.
