Steven Weber (born March 4, 1961 in New York City ) is an American actor .

Life and accomplishments

Weber comes from a Jewish family, his mother was a singer. His first feature film was the comedy Flamingo Kid (1984), in which he starred alongside Matt Dillon and Hector Elizondo . In the thriller On the Edge of Darkness , he played the role of Kyle Timler , the killer from whom the police officer Gina Pulasky ( Helen Hunt ) coaxed a confession. In the film drama Leaving Las Vegas (1995) he appeared alongside Nicolas Cage and Elisabeth Shue , in the comedy Dracula - Dead but Happy (1995) alongside Leslie Nielsen , Peter MacNicol and Mel Brooks . In the film drama Break Up - Nackte Angst (1998) he appeared in a larger role alongside Bridget Fonda , Kiefer Sutherland , Penelope Ann Miller and Tippi Hedren .

For his leading role in the mini-television series The Shining (1997) he was awarded the Saturn Award in 1998. During this time he directed two episodes of the television series Outer Limits - The Unknown Dimension . From 2000 to 2001 he starred in The Steven Weber Show (Cursed) , which he also produced.

Weber is married to Juliette Hohnen for the second time and has two children.
