Stuart Erwin

Stuart "Stu" Erwin (born February 14, 1903 in Squaw Valley , California , † December 21, 1967 in Beverly Hills , Los Angeles , California) was an American actor .

Life

He is best known for his role in the film Pigskin Parade from 1936, he was in for his role in this film Oscar ceremony in 1937 as a Best Supporting Actor nomination. He also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (6240 Hollywood Blvd.) for his work on television . In 1941 he starred with Bette Davis and James Cagney in the comedy The Bride Came on Delivery . He celebrated great success on television between 1950 and 1955 with his comedy show The Stu Erwin Show . In total, he worked in more than 125 film and television productions until his death.

Stuart Erwin was married to actress June Collyer from July 22, 1931 until his death in 1967 and has a son, Stuart, and a daughter, Judy. Erwin died of a heart attack in 1967 at the age of 64 . He was cremated and buried in the Chapel of the Pines Crematory.
