Sue Thomas: FBI (Original Title: Sue Thomas: FBEye ) is a Canadian - American television series that ran in the United States from 2002 to 2005. It's about the real, deaf FBI agent Sue Thomas .
action
The series is about the work of the deaf Sue Thomas at the FBI. As the viewer learns, Thomas became deaf at the age of two for unknown reasons. However, her lip-reading skills have made her a sought-after agent. She started out working in the fingerprint analysis department, but was soon promoted.
background
The real Sue Thomas worked as an FBI agent from 1979 to 1983. That made her the first ever deaf FBI agent. Thomas' actress, Deanne Bray is deaf herself.

Charisma
In 2006 it became known that kabel eins had acquired the rights to the series. Still, the station only aired the first season in January 2011, almost nine years after the pilot was first shown in the United States. The episodes were only shown at night, so Sue Thomas never found a larger audience in Germany. The broadcaster sixx also broadcast some episodes.
