Susanne Kippenberger (born August 29, 1957 in Dortmund ) is a German journalist and book author .

Life

Susanne Kippenberger is the youngest of Martin Kippenberger's four sisters . She grew up in Essen and studied German, English and American studies in Tübingen . In the mid-1980s she did internships at Südwestfunk Baden-Baden , the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung , Die Zeit and the Museum of Modern Art . Since 1989 she has been working as an editor for the Berliner Tagesspiegel .

In 1985 she received the Fulbright Scholarship to study film studies, in 1997 the International Journalist Program (IJP) scholarship at the Independent in London and in 2011 the scholarship at the Villa Aurora . In 2006 she received the Journalism Prize from the King Edward VII Foundation .

Kippenberger has also been an author since 2007 and published six works by 2010.
