Swedish Match AB is an industrial group from Stockholm specializing in tobacco and match production. The joint stock company has its origins in the “Svenska Tändsticksaktiebolaget” (Swedish matchstick joint stock company), which was founded in 1917 by the later “match king” Ivar Kreuger . The company was given its current name in 1980. "Svenska Tobaks AB" (Swedish Tobacco Corporation), founded in 1915, has also been part of the group since 1992.

Swedish Match has a variety of products that are among the market leaders. The product range focuses on tobacco-related products such as chewing tobacco and snus , cigars and pipe tobacco, as well as matches and lighters . Manufacturing takes place in 16 countries and the products are delivered to over 150 countries.

Swedish Match AB's important brands in the match segment are Swan, Solstickan, Three Stars and Redheads.

Between 1970 and 1996, the company also owned the flooring manufacturer Tarkett .
