SwissEduc is a web-based platform in Switzerland that offers teaching materials and interactive learning environments for various subjects. The free offer is provided by teachers and is aimed at schools from secondary level, namely high schools, vocational schools, technical schools and other schools. The platform is operated by the non-profit association SwissEduc based in Wettingen AG .

The database was created in April 2005 from the EducETH education server at ETH Zurich . EducETH was developed in 1995 as a prototype of an education server. The project was realized by Silvia Ackermann, Michael Stumm and Werner Hartmann . A detailed description of the EducETH project can be found in LOG IN 16 (1996) issue 1. In April 2005, the teachers involved in EducETH decided to set up a new education server under the name SwissEduc in order to be able to continue to make their offers available to schools.

The so-called specialist editors are responsible for the content on the websites. Subject editors are teachers who work voluntarily and free of charge at SwissEduc, who are responsible for editing individual subject areas and who make materials available themselves. Students and teachers also contribute materials to SwissEduc. For example, the Kara programming learning environment can be found there.
