Sylvia Voss

Sylvia Voss (born May 5, 1954 in Leipzig ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen , Die Linke ).

Life and work

After studying human medicine at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena , Sylvia Voss became a specialist in dermatology / venereology, especially allergology at the Ernst von Bergmann Clinic in Potsdam.

Sylvia Voss did nature conservation work in the GDR, after the fall of the Wall she became a co-founder of the Havelland nature conservation association (later NABU ). Since 2002 she has been a member of the Association for the Environment and Nature Conservation Germany eV (BUND), where she does an active job on the board and in the BAKs Nature Conservation and Tourism. She is also a co-founder of the avenue protection community.

Sylvia Voss is married and has two grown sons and a granddaughter.

Political party

From 1994 to 1998 Sylvia Voss was the state chairwoman of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Brandenburg and spokeswoman for the Ecology / Animal Welfare Working Group. She was a member of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party until 2004 and joined the Die Linke party in 2007.

MPs

From 1990 to 1994 Sylvia Voss was Vice-President of the Potsdam District Council and Chair of the Environment Committee. From 1994 to 1998 she was Vice President of the Potsdam City Council.

From 1998 to 2002 she was a member of the German Bundestag . Here she was spokeswoman for the Bundestag parliamentary group Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen for nature conservation and tourism.
