Systematics of minerals according to Dana / sulfates, chromates, molybdates

The sulfates, chromates and molybdates in the Dana system of minerals include class VI of this system. Selenates and tellurates, selenites - tellurites - sulfites. The molybdates contained in the previous versions of the classification and partly named after this class are in the current version in class VII, phosphates, arsenates, vanadates , sub-classes 48 and 49.

According to the new Dana classification, the sulfates class consists of subclasses 28 (anhydrous acids and sulfates), 29 (hydrated acids and sulfates), 30 (anhydrous sulfates with hydroxyl or halogen), 31 (hydrated sulfates) and 32 (compound Sulfates). Subclass 33 contains the selenates and tellurates; Selenites, tellurites and sulphites occupy the subclass 34 of the same name. Finally, the chromates consist of the subclasses 35 (anhydrous chromates) and 36 (chromates).
