Timothy Bell began his career in karting . At the age of eight he competed in his first kart races and switched to monoposto racing in 1997 . He drove in the F2000 Championship Series and the US F2000 National Championship , two American junior series. In 2000, he moved up and switched to Formula Atlantic . He finished the US championship in 2000 (Master Buddy Rice ) in eleventh place overall, and in 2001 he finished the racing season in the same place in the final standings (Master this time Hoover Orsi ).
Bell's NASCAR career began in 2003 . He started out in the Camping World Truck Series , where he made 106 races in the following 12 years. Among other things , he was involved with Roush Fenway Racing and achieved 13 top ten placements in his 106 starts. Between 2005 and 2016 he drove 69 races in the Xfinity Series , NASCAR's second highest racing series. He made his debut in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series , NASCAR's first class, at the 2011 Bojangles' Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway . In 2015, he had his last appearance in this series in the same race. So far, he has not been able to achieve top ten placements in either the Xfinity or the Cup Series.
