TV Azteca is a Mexican television broadcaster with headquarters in Mexico City . The company is listed in the Índice de Precios y Cotizaciones (IPC) on the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores .

The television station was privatized by the Mexican entrepreneur Ricardo Salinas Pliego in 1993. The television station previously operated as a state-owned company under the company name Instituto Mexicano de la Televisión ("Imevisión"). Mario San Román is currently the director of the TV channel.

The television station belongs to the Mexican group Grupo Salinas .
