Taganski ( Russian Таганский ) is a district of Moscow ( Russia ).

It belongs to the central administrative district of the city. Its name comes from the settlement Taganskaja sloboda , in which mainly coppersmiths lived in the 16th century .

The district has an area of ​​7.9 km ² and 109.4 thousand inhabitants.

This is where the Church of the Not Man-Made Savior Image is located in the former Andronikov Monastery .
