Tanzsportgarde Coburger Mohr e. V. is an association that is based in Coburg in Upper Franconia and practices the guard dance.
history
The Coburger Mohr dance sports guard was founded in Coburg in 1988 . In 1999 and 2001 the greatest successes of the Royal Guard could be celebrated, in both years the 2nd place in the German championship was achieved. The Tanzmariechen celebrated their greatest successes in 2009, 2010 and 2012, where they achieved 1st place in the German championship. In 2006 the Tanzsportgarde organized the South German Championships, but not in Coburg, but due to the too small Angersporthalle in Bayreuth. In 2015, the dance sport guard did not appear there for the first time in 18 events of the carnival ceremony in Franconia . On January 28, 2015, the Coburger Mohr dance sport guard was allowed to dance in front of Angela Merkel in the German Chancellery . Since mid-2015, the Coburger Mohr dance sports guard has been performing regularly during the timeouts and half-time break at the HSC 2000 Coburg sports club .
successes
The dance sport guard has many German, Upper Franconian, Franconian and South German championship titles in the King's Guard and all other age groups. She is a frequent guest at the carnival in Franconia, which is broadcast on TV .
composition
The Coburger Mohr dance sport guard consists of the royal guards, junior guards, youth guards and the Purzel guards as well as the dancing mariechen, who achieved great success in their respective age groups.
