Tatjana Sergejewna Tschernowa ( Russian Татьяна Сергеевна Чернова , English transcription Tatyana Chernova ; born January 29, 1988 in Krasnodar ) is a Russian heptathlete .

Career

The youth world champion from 2005 and junior world champion from 2006 started at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka, but had to give up there after the first day.

In the 2008 season she won the Mösle all-around meeting with her personal best of 6618 points. At the Olympic Games in Beijing she came fourth with 6591 points and subsequently won the bronze medal after Ljudmyla Blonska (UKR) , who originally came second, was disqualified for doping . In April 2017, Chernova was also disqualified when she was proven to have taken the banned substance Turinabol as part of post-testing of the doping samples . At the World Indoor Championships in Doha in 2010 she first won the bronze medal, which was later revoked.
