The Techno Alpin AG , headquartered in Bolzano , is a South Tyrolean companies for manual and fully automatic snowmaking equipment . The company is the world market leader in snowmaking production.

history

In the early 1980s, Georg Eisath and Walter Rieder, operations managers in the Obereggen ski area , imported a snow gun from America. They built their first prototype based on this model . The two founded the company WI.TE and began to produce machines in large numbers. The first systems were built in the Italian ski resorts of Cortina , Falcade and Valzoldana. In 1988, the Schneider company in Seefeld, Austria, was the first agency abroad.

In 1990 the Latemar M90 snow gun was launched. After sales increased, Eisath and Rieder brought the businessman Erich Gummerer into the company. Together they founded TechnoAlpin GmbH in 1990. In 1996, TechnoAlpin founded its first subsidiaries in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In 2005 the company was converted into a public limited company. Today the company has a worldwide network with seven branches and 18 trading partners. Around 750 people work for TechnoAlpin worldwide. In 2018/2019 the company achieved a turnover of 250 million euros.

TechnoAlpin plans and implements complete manual and fully automatic snow-making systems. That is why, in addition to snow-making systems, the TechnoAlpin product range also includes shafts , electrants , cooling towers, valves, meteo stations, line material and the ATASSplus control software.
