Ted Tetzlaff
Ted Tetzlaff (born June 3, 1903 in Los Angeles , † January 7, 1995 in Fort Baker , California ) was an American director and cameraman .
Life
Ted Tetzlaff was a cameraman in Hollywood from 1926 to 1946. His last camera work was Alfred Hitchcock's Notorious (1946). Then he switched to directing. His biggest success as a director was The Eerie Window with Bobby Driscoll , Arthur Kennedy and Barbara Hale . A boy watches a murder, but nobody believes him. This puts him in mortal danger. The film only cost around $ 200,000 and grossed many times that.
For his work on Witness for the Prosecution , he was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Camera (black and white) in 1943.
Ted Tetzlaff was the son of the racing driver and actor Teddy Tetzlaff .
