history
The Tellermine 43 was introduced into the Wehrmacht in 1943 as the successor to the Tellermine 42 . It was used until the end of World War II. It was the last stage of development of the plate mines in the Wehrmacht. Their development served primarily to simplify production.
functionality
The mine, which was hidden or placed openly, triggered when the pressure plate on the lid was pressed. Additional draft fuses in the side and in the bottom of the mine as well as relief fuses were responsible for securing recovery. A pressure of 210 kilograms was necessary to trigger the mine.
