Test of Proficiency in Korean

The Korean language test Test of Proficiency in Korean (usually abbreviated TOPIK, Kor. 한국어 능력 시험 ; Hangugeo Neungnyeok Siheom; Hanja: 韓國 語 能力 試驗) is a test to test the knowledge of Korean by non-native speakers.

TOPIK is carried out worldwide by the South Korean National Institute for International Education (NIIED). It has existed since 1997 and has been completed by more than a million people since then. The test can be taken in three levels of difficulty.

Exam location

In Germany, TOPIK takes place annually in April and is carried out in the cities of Berlin , Bochum , Frankfurt am Main , Tübingen and Hamburg .
