The MDR Thüringen Journal , previously Thüringen Journal , is a regional news magazine in the MDR program . It is produced in the Landesfunkhaus Thuringia in Erfurt and broadcasts a thirty-minute journal of the day's events in the state every day, with the exception of some public holidays, from 7:00 p.m.

The moderated program is divided into reports, reports and live switching as well as two blocks with short messages that are presented by a speaker. Every Thursday there is a block with event tips. Books with a regional reference and their authors are presented in the “book box”. From Friday to Monday, the news block is usually followed by a 15-minute sports section with detailed reports on Thuringian sporting events, training reports, table statuses, including the youth clubs and background reports on Thuringian sporting events. A regional weather report follows after the broadcast . The articles in the MDR Thuringia Journal can usually be viewed for seven days in the MDR media library.
Moderation
The Thuringia Journal is moderated alternately by Aline Thielmann , Susann Reichenbach and Steffen Quasebarth . The short messages are presented alternately by the moderators Paul Andreas Freyer , Johanna Hoffmeier and Sina Reeder . The sport is presented by Stefanie Benke , Sascha Mönch , Christian Müller or Sandra Voigtmann and the weather by Claudia Hauboldt , Johanna Hoffmeier, Frank Huber , Marc Neblung , Jens Roder , Sandra Voigtmann or Heike Ziepke .
