The Thames Valley University (TVU) was a British public university with campuses in Slough , Reading and Ealing in the Thames Valley Area (" Themsetal "; therefore literally in German " Themsetal University ") west of London . The college was renamed the University of West London in 2011 .

history

The university was founded in 1860 as Lady Byron School , in 1992 the Ealing College of Higher Education , subsequently the Slough Technical College and the London College of Music and Media were incorporated. In 2004 the college was incorporated into Reading College and School of Arts & Design , making Thames Valley University history.

organization

The university recently had over 45,000 students. The last rector was Geoff Crispin, the last president was Lord Karan Faridoon Bilimoria . TVU had a worldwide alumni network of over 45,000 members, organized in the "Thames Valley University Students' Union".

  • Faculty of the Arts (FOTA), formerly London College of Music and Media
  • Faculty of Professional Studies
  • Faculty of Health and Human Sciences
