The Lost Tapes From Illmatic to Stillmatic: The Remixes
(2002)

The Lost Tapes ( German: Die Verschollenen Tapes ) is the seventh album by New York rapper Nas . The album contains unreleased material from the second CD of the original double album I Am… The rest are unreleased songs that were created during Stillmatic's time and some new titles.

In the piece Fetus , Nas tells about life in his mother's womb before he was born. The Lost Tapes, together with Stillmatic and God's Son, is one of the albums that Nas fans have always wanted and missed something between 1997 and 2000. The cover picture shows an excavated chest with tapes and other contents such as a microphone and ID.

"The Lost Tapes can't be compared to any other unreleased or re-compiled album. Such CDs are often known for having just one great song, and the rest is mostly rubbish, but not here ... The Lost Tapes is a lot of right Studio albums are way ahead in quality. No frills, no media hype, no bullshit. "
